WebDEFEAT
I don't like WebFeat at all. Everytime I would find an article that I wanted to click on...it would sign me out of the site. I tried looking up something from my hometown...WPB (btw)...but so much of it was business related and totally NOT interesting. When I DID find an interesting article, it was really just about a conference that had been held down here a while back. I decided to move on and try our family vacation spot: Holden Beach, NC. However, there wasn't really anything that I would consider "interesting". I am sure that it is fine for project and article searches , but I felt like it was a waste of time for me. Sorry.
Library Thing Additions
http://www.librarything.com/catalog/kpegram23things
So we are only "required" to add 5 for 23 Things but I added about 21...I could probably add at least 100 more. It is pretty simple...type in the title or author and it will come up pretty quickly. I think its fun. I mean...I still prefer Listmania on Amazon but that is just me.

Feed Me!
I really don't like this website. I think it isn't user friendly at all. The coolest thing for me is that you can get a feed from The Soup on E! I guess it works for its purpose, but I think there could be an easier way to search. There are also a few too many steps when trying to add a new feed to your account...imo. Another problem that I had was when I tried to add a feed from the Publisher's Weekly website...it said that the feed was not found. All in all, good results but bad journey to get them.

Lost
So Erik and I started from the beginning of Lost and we both really enjoy it. We bought Season 1 forever ago. We now have Seasons 2 and 3 from the library. I love Daniel Dae Kim! Always have, always will.

Technology
Erik and I were talking the other day about how crazy it is that kids today will never grow up in a world without internet and computers. I didn't get a computer until I was in high school. I didn't get the internet until I was in college. SOME of my friends had internet in high school but not many. There were only a few computers in the media center in my elementary, middle and high schools. You would NEVER hear "Visit Us On The Web at www.nick.com Ask for your parent's permission before logging on." when you were watching SNICK or anything. I remember at the very beginning of the movie "Little Monsters" there was a contest saying to call in to 1-900-89-MAURICE (or something close to that) NOT go on to our website for a chance to win. Ok. Now I have completely lost my point and probably my mind. Point being...technology really changes the world...sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worst.
galhos!
I am not quite sure why I love this photo. I have always found trees without any leaves to be interesting. I guess I really like the colors as well. It makes me think of Carnivale...which I like also. I am waiting for Season 2 to come in...I reserved it.
Blogging In The Library
I think blogging is a good way for people to be able to let out their thoughts and feelings for others to view (or not to view). Most people had some sort of journal when they were younger and blogging is the next generation journal. I think the different library departments can share ideas for programs through blogging...such as what things work and what things do not work. I also think that blogging in the library would be great for reader's advisory. Unfortunately, there are not enough hours in the day for all of us to read EVERY new title. Through blogging you can get an opinion of another staff member that might have read the new James Patterson when you have not gotten to it yet. These things will be a big help to PBCLS and our patrons.
7 1/2 Habits of Highly Successful Lifelong Learners
I am starting to get very excited about this project. At first, I have to admit I was a little skeptical but I think it will be fun to be able to blog over the summer. The 7 1/2 Habits tutorial was interesting but it took a very long time to load on the computer here. I hope everything doesn't end up taking so long.
